CHORA at IPACK-IMA 2025: a close look at innovation in industrial packaging

On May 29 and 30, CHORA visited IPACK-IMA 2025, the international trade fair dedicated to industrial processing and packaging technologies, held at Fiera Milano. Two intense days—Wednesday and Thursday—during which we immersed ourselves in a context rich in technical insights and professional exchange.

We focused in particular on the halls dedicated to grain-based food and general food, sectors where technological solutions must meet increasingly demanding requirements in terms of automation, precision, and flexibility. These are the same principles that guide our day-to-day work in custom engineering projects and technical consulting.

We found solutions for end-of-line systems, advanced labeling technologies, secondary packaging modules, and digital traceability systems especially interesting. These are elements we frequently integrate into the projects we develop for our clients, particularly when adapting complex production lines to new operational requirements.

There was no shortage of stimulating insights in process machinery as well. Observing a product transformation take shape in just a few moments, enabled by increasingly fast technologies, is always fascinating. In some instances, the experience even brought us back to childhood, when discovering new and unseen things opened up entirely unexplored worlds.

One of the most enriching aspects of the visit was undoubtedly the opportunity to engage with highly experienced companies. Exchanging viewpoints, closely examining established technical solutions, and listening to different design approaches proved to be an excellent way to broaden perspectives and give concrete direction to our engineering reflections. It is in contexts like these that subtle details emerge—details that truly make a difference during development phases.

Events such as IPACK-IMA remind us how important it is to stay connected with what is happening in our industry—not only to keep up to date, but also to validate and reinforce the technical choices we propose to our clients every day. For CHORA, attending a trade fair means observing, listening, exchanging ideas, and returning to work with new insights and renewed confidence.
